Pine Grove Books & Gifts

Pine Grove Books and Gifts

Pine Grove Books and Gifts is Mississippi’s only bookstore devoted to behavioral health and addiction literature. Our bookstore carries all of the books used in addiction treatment at Pine Grove and includes other books recommended by our staff.

In addition to books and educational materials, Pine Grove Books and Gifts offers a variety of personal growth gifts, including addiction recovery items.

Healing Literature

Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services has featured a bookstore for our patients and the community since 1984. The first bookstore to serve Pine Grove’s patients was a book cart operated by two volunteers, Melinda Mapp and Patty Hall. As Pine Grove’s family of services expanded, a small bookstore was established on Pine Grove’s main Hattiesburg campus. Pine Grove’s continued growth over the years merited the need to also grow our bookstore. Today, we are proud to serve our patients, their family members and the community in our beautiful, dedicated bookstore, located in Pine Grove’s Wicker Building near Forrest General Hospital.

Book Selections

Our books consist of titles related to AA, NA, SA, Al-Anon, codependency, spirituality, eating disorders, dual diagnoses, parenting, treatment intervention, and psychological disorders. Some of these titles are written by well known authors such as Melanie Beattie, Claudia Black, Patrick Carnes, Father Leo Booth, Richard Rohr, Brene’ Brown, Dr. Henry Cloud, and Dr. John Townsend, just to name a few.

Gifts

In addition to books and educational materials, we offers a variety of personal growth gifts, including addiction recovery items and children’s toys and books.
